About HALPIM

Welcome to the website of HALPIM / Hungarian Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management, the leading body representing the professionals involved in logistics, purchasing and supply chain management.

HALPIM is the leading professional association of companies, institutes and individuals involved or interested in the fields of logistics, purchasing, supply chain management and all related areas.

HALPIM was founded in 1991 as a national not-for-profit organization. The Association’s mission statement is

• to promote the development of purchasing, inventory management and logistics professions and – through the aboves – recognise the best opportunities to improve competitiveness in order to contribute to the economy’s better performance in Hungary,
• to provide a quality forum for disseminating new methods and proved solutions and
• to educate and develop the skills of individuals.

To accomplish its objectives HALPIM

• Provides various opportunities for creating relationships and exchanging experience by organizing its annual congress with about 350 participants, conferences & workshops, company visits; promoting the work of its chapters and through extensive international relationships (it is a member of the European Logistics Association, the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management and the International Society for Inventory Research).
• Offers EDUCATION programs - HALPIM offers practice oriented logistics and supply management courses at all levels from the start of a career to management level. The junior and senior level courses lead to a registered certificate accredited by the Ministry of Education. These courses also received the „Certificate of Competence” by IFPSM . Postgraduate diploma program in logistics management is offered together with the Corvinus University of Budapest. Tailored programs to meet corporate needs and in-house trainings are also available.
• Disseminates information through its PUBLICATIONS and WEBSITE (www.logisztika.hu) – - HALPIM publishes its bimonthly magazine “Logisztikai Híradó“, a regular e-newsletter and the monthly Report on Business including the Purchasing Managers Index.
• Awards the prestigious titles „Logistics Manager of the Year”, “Purchasing Manager of the Year”, “Certified Expert in Logistics” , and confers the “Award for Logistics Excellence.
• As a founding member of the Logistics Co-odinating Forum expresses its views and opinion about decisions having influence on the current and future status of the profession, takes an active role in the preparation of the New Hungary Development Plan as far as logistics concerned.
